I’ve never gone on a cruise before. My husband and I have decided we’re finally going to treat ourselves to what we feel is an all-inclusive, relaxing vacation on a cruise ship, but now have to choose which one to go on! I’ve looked online, but there is so much information it’s hard to sort out what you like and don’t like. I have to admit I don’t know where to begin. There are several good, reputable cruise lines, and each cruise line has several different ships going to different locations. Can anyone tell me what is the best cruise to go on?

Well, that is quite a question! You’ll get a different answer from each person you ask, I’ll bet. I’ll take a different tact on the question; helping you to choose for yourself. My advice is to first sit down with your husband, and the two of you should decide what you are looking for on your vacation, and what you are willing to spend. You already know you want a cruise. Now figure out what type of cruise, and for how long. A theme, such as a hobby or sport; a destination, where the focus is on the ports of call; a party cruise, the name of which says it all; or maybe an adventure cruise where hiking, snorkeling, kayaking and such activities would be at your disposal. Once you can narrow down what you want from your vacation, you will be able to choose which cruise will be the best for you. You are right that they are really great cruise lines to choose from, so you can’t go wrong once you decide; the best cruise to go on is the one that fits your needs best in price, activities, interests and destination.
