Cruise ship employment

I am an aspiring comedian. I have done comedy clubs in my local area, and I think I’m pretty good. At least, I’ve never been booed off the stage!! I was thinking it would be really cool to have a gig on a cruise ship!! Not only would it be a great job with a captive audience, but I’d get the chance to travel and see places. I’m guessing I wouldn’t have to pay for the cruise, since I’d be an employee, right? I want to travel, so cruise ship employment would be ideal. But how to go about it? Anyone have any input?

Cruise ship Employment

That would be so cool, Diane!! If you go on any cruise line website, you can click on their link for "employment", and you should be able to find out what you need to know. Also, if you check in their "contact us" link, there is usually a phone number that you can call if you want to talk to someone directly. You should know, though, working on a cruise line isn't the same as taking a cruise. It is, after all, a job. The weather won't always be great, people won't always be fun and friendly, and since you are working, I'd bet you don't get to see every port the ship stops at. But I do think it would be a great job; definitely, you'd have a captive audience when at sea!! Good luck!
