My parents are taking a cruise early this fall to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. I'd like to get them a really nice gift that they can use for the cruise. Can anyone suggest any gifts for cruise travel that would be appropriate and useful for their trip? Their cruise will be a Hawaiian cruise, so I know the weather will be nice and warm. Do you know if its possible to give gift certificates for restaurants or stores on one of the islands? I've never been on a cruise myself, so I'm at a loss to know what someone needs.
Gift for a Cruise
I think it would a lovely idea to give your parents a gift for the cruise, Pete. How about new luggage especially for the trip? There are some really nice pieces of luggage that would certainly come in handy for them. Or even a cash gift may be nice, and could help them out with souvenirs they may wish to buy when on shore. Gift certificates may be a nice idea if you know at which ports they would want to go to shore; you could check with the cruise line they are traveling on, also, to see if gift certificates for the stores on the ship itself are available.
I hope this helps!
