I’ve heard that military personnel are entitled to special discounts on cruises, but I’m not sure what they entail. How about insurance, for example? Has anyone heard about military free cruise travel insurance? I am not active military any longer, but I would like to know if I might be entitled to any type of discounts. I think that taking the cruise insurance is a good idea since you never know what situations may occur, but it is an added expense. If a discount on the cruise insurance for military personnel is available, I would like to take advantage of it.

I haven’t heard of discounted or free insurance for military personnel. However, there are numerous offers from many major cruise lines for discounted to sometimes deeply discounted and even free cruises to military members! What this does mean is that you will be able to apply those savings to cruise insurance, rendering them to a discounted amount. And although you will need to check with the cruise line of your choice, the savings you are entitled to are generally applicable to active military, retired military and even spouses of deceased military members. These days, every cent saved is a bonus, so definitely check with the cruise line to find out what you are entitled to and how you can apply it to the cruise insurance.
