Cruise in Bad Weather

I read the post by Jim B about bad weather, and I’ve been thinking along the same lines. What does happen if you are on the cruise ship and a tropical storm or hurricane is in the direct path of where the ship is? Or if the storm is headed for one of the same ports that your cruise ship is? I know that the ship gets re-directed, but what if there is nowhere to go? After all, a lot of destinations are islands; it’s not like there’s a lot of choice! What happens if you are on a cruise in bad weather?
