Group travel on cruise vacation

Has anyone ever gone on a group cruise? I’ve heard that when a large group travel on cruise vacation that the cost is cheaper; is that true? If it is, it might not be a bad idea to have a family reunion, wedding, anniversary party or just a great big family vacation that way! I’d be interested to know how many have to be in a group to get a reduced cost. Do all of the family members get rooms next to each other; like an entire corridor or something? When going ashore at ports, do the family members of the large group get their own guide for excursions? Its an interesting idea!

Luxury Small Cruises

On the question of luxury cruises, what can a person expect on one? If I had a choice, I think I’d like a smaller crowd, but are the luxury small cruises limited on what they offer? How small are they usually? I enjoy being pampered, but I like all of the activities that regular cruises offer, too; the pools, the casinos, the shops, the different restaurants, and especially the special activities they do. When you hear the word “luxury”, you usually think of spending lots of money. What do luxury small cruises offer besides the pampering services?

How about luxury cruises for families

As I am planning a cruise for my family, I’ve been looking at all of the choices available for us. I’ve seen something called a “luxury cruise”, which just sounds like it would be great for me! But is a luxury cruise a good choice for kids; are there even luxury cruises for families? Are kids welcome on a luxury cruise, or are they supposed to be for adults only? I wasn’t sure if it was just spas and pampering, with no activities or if it would be just like any other cruise for activities that we would all enjoy but also include the pampering I would love to have.

Do you take showers or bath on cruise ships?

As a first time cruiser, I’ve been looking for information of all aspects of the cruise. While I understand the staterooms can be small, I have a funny question about the bathrooms. Do you take showers or bath on a cruise? I’m thinking it might be like a bathroom in an RV or motor home; you know what I mean, a little closet like space with just enough room to take a standing shower. Is that the case, or is there a bathtub? I know it’s an odd question, but I’m just curious on what to expect since I’ll be on the cruise for a week.

Skipping tradition with a Thanksgiving cruise

I’m ready for a holiday change this year. As much as I love the traditional family get-togethers at Thanksgiving, complete with turkey and all the trimmings, just for once I’d really like to try something a little different.

Has anyone gone on a Thanksgiving holiday cruise, leaving the annual tradition behind for a change of pace? How did your family like the idea?

It seems that it would be so stress free, spending a holiday truly just relaxing. I don’t know though if I would miss the tradition and family; and I still want to have a holiday feel in the air.

Luxury Family cruises

Can someone tell me what is involved with a luxury cruise?

Business cruise opportunity

I mentioned in an earlier post that my brother is interested in the travel industry as a career. Can anyone offer any advice in business cruise opportunity travel? I’m wondering how I can help him to investigate becoming business partners with the cruise industry to grow his business. Questions we have are like: what does it take to get started, would the opportunity be a franchise, and is there a cost for getting started? I think he would be getting involved in a great business, one that could be really lucrative and yet a lot of fun, and interesting

All inclusive cruise travel

I have a question. I’m sure everyone has heard of all inclusive vacations, usually a resort, where everything from food to drink to activities is included in the price paid for the vacation. Here is my question: is there such a thing as a travel cruise all inclusive trip? It seems it would be so much easier to just pay one price for everything. I understand that on a cruise all of the food is included, but not alcoholic drinks, is that right? And if you go ashore at ports, you have to pay all costs incurred. Anyone know of an all-inclusive cruise?

Has anyone done a family reunion cruise?

I have a large family, and we’ve been gathering together for reunions every year for as long as I can remember. it seems as though lately we’ve had less interest from a lot of family members, though; I think some of it is because we do the same thing every year. We usually rent a large picnic area, and play games, eat and visit. I think its time we liven it up, and I was thinking about a cruise. It sure would be more exciting, and offer so much for everyone!! Has anyone ever been on a family reunion cruise?

Vouchers for cruise travel

I read an article on line about travel agencies and cruise travel vouchers. Has anyone else seen any of these? From what I can tell from what I’ve read, there are travel vouchers available for most any mode of travel, especially air and cruise.
