I own my own business, and I just read about some people who take a business cruise and conduct corporate meetings. My business isn’t huge, but it is a decent size. I’m wondering what is involved in a business cruise; discounts, special services, anything like that that I might be able to use to decide if such a cruise would be a worthwhile venture for my company. I know I can go directly to the cruise line or to a travel agent for some information, and intend to do just that later, but hoped to get some feedback from maybe someone who has traveled that road already
Business Cruise
There are a couple of different types of business cruises. One is holding a corporate meeting or a business seminar, and the other is offering employees a cruise as a business incentive. I’m guessing you might be talking about holding a corporate meeting or a business seminar for your company. It’s pretty easy to book; almost all cruise lines have conference rooms with the technology needed for power point presentations, overhead projectors, microphones, TVs and such. They also offer the opportunity to have a company dinner in one of the restaurants. These are great ideas for awards, sales meetings and training seminars. It doesn’t matter how small or big your company is; they can accommodate pretty much any size. They will even help to organize fun activities for you and your employees. I don’t know about discounts, but I do know that due to the all-inclusive style of cruise ships, it would be a great deal overall.
