Do you take showers or bath on cruise ships?

As a first time cruiser, I’ve been looking for information of all aspects of the cruise. While I understand the staterooms can be small, I have a funny question about the bathrooms. Do you take showers or bath on a cruise? I’m thinking it might be like a bathroom in an RV or motor home; you know what I mean, a little closet like space with just enough room to take a standing shower. Is that the case, or is there a bathtub? I know it’s an odd question, but I’m just curious on what to expect since I’ll be on the cruise for a week.

Do you take showers or bath on cruise

I’ll bet a lot of people have the same question! The answer? It depends on the cruise line and the type of room that you’ve booked. Most standard staterooms have a very small bathroom area, with a shower and no tub. Disney’s Wonder and Magic ships, though, offer a shower/bath combo in their bathroom. Suites on cruise ships such as Silversea’s Silver Shadow and Silver Whisper, Radisson’s Navigator and Cunard’s QE2 all have the wonderful benefit of a full sized bathtub and a separate shower. Cunard goes one step further by offering whirlpool bathtubs! So if having a bathtub is a primary concern of yours, you may want to check with various cruise lines to find which offers the room with a bathtub at an affordable price for you.
