Has anyone done a family reunion cruise?

I have a large family, and we’ve been gathering together for reunions every year for as long as I can remember. it seems as though lately we’ve had less interest from a lot of family members, though; I think some of it is because we do the same thing every year. We usually rent a large picnic area, and play games, eat and visit. I think its time we liven it up, and I was thinking about a cruise. It sure would be more exciting, and offer so much for everyone!! Has anyone ever been on a family reunion cruise?

Family Reunion cruises

Oh, I agree! There is so much to a cruise that there will certainly be something for everyone. A great thing about having your family reunion on a cruise is that no one person or group of persons will be saddled with the arrangements. With the activities offered, shore excursions, not to mention the things to do on the ship, everyone will be able to choose what activities are just right for them. The family can all gather at mealtime, and can congregate in a private cocktail party for social time. The kids will most likely easily get bored listening to all of the “well, when I was your age….” Or the “remember whens”. No problem!! Every major cruise line offers age-appropriate activities for the kids while the adults catch up!! Another really great thing is that no one is expected to do the clean up at the end! How perfect is that, family members gather, have a great time and then leave. No preplanning of food, decorations, where to hold the gathering, who cleans up. Here is another great bonus: most cruise lines offer discounts to groups!! Sometimes, it involves free travel for a certain number of the group. Complimentary amenities also often are granted, like a private party or excursions. Be sure to check with the cruise line you choose on what types of discounts they have. Oh, and have a great time!!
