Has anybody seen those email ads where a cruise is advertised for the ultra low price of $$$$? Well, I did, and almost fell for it. I talked to one of my friends about it, thinking it was such a great deal since what the ad said made sense. My friend told me to check with a real cruise professional, and I did. What an eye opener!! Sure, the cruise might start with a low price, but its just a scam. After you book, then “extra” charges start piling up, and would probably end up costing you more than booking with a profession!
Low price cruise scams
I've seen them, too, Pete. The biggest thing about scams is that they DO make them seem so real. Everyone wants a bargain. Many of these scams are not even real cruise lines, and are phishing for your credit card information. ALWAYS call the cruise line in question directly to confirm the so-called "deal", and also you can call the consumer protection agency in your area. By being an informed consumer, you are less likely to be taken in by a scam.
