I have always been fascinated wih and wanted to visit Greece and Italy. A Mediterranean cruise sounds great, and I know it would be a great trip. I've heard about their beautiful scenery, blue seas and incredible beaches.
I don't know much about their seasons, though; does anyone know what the best time to take a Mediterranean cruise would be?
I don't care much if it's hot or cool, I can prepare well for either with the right clothes. I do know there are better times to visit than others. Any information anyone can give me would be great!!
Best time to take a Mediterranean cruise
This question has a couple of answers, Diane. If you are looking more for a budget Mediterranean cruise, I would suggest booking a trip for early spring or late fall. Cruise prices are generally lower during those seasons because the weather is cooler.
If money is not an issue, then summertime is optimal. Warm temperatures entice a lot of travelers, though, so prices are higher since it is a prime time to enjoy the Mediterranean.
I would suggest that you check into which ports of call you would be visiting, and what their seasonal weather is like. Then compare the costs, and with those facts in hand,you should be able to decide what the best time for YOU to cruise the Mediterranean will be.
