Has anyone every done Panama travel with cruise? I have always been fascinated with the Panama Canal. I hear there are some really interesting stops to be made at ports through the Panama Canal, and that the views are quite spectacular.
I enjoy the Caribbean, so combining port stops in the Caribbean with the Panama would be ideal. With that type of cruise, I would really be able to tour and see Panama; you know, get the real flavor of the area, and spend some quality time there. Can anyone offer any information on Panama travel that might be helpful?

Panama Cruise
Several cruise lines offer cruises of varying lengths to the Panama Canal. Since it is a link between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, you will find cruises that depart from both the east coast and the west coast and be able to choose which you would like best. Royal Caribbean, for example, offers 9-11 day cruises, and Celebrity does as well.
You can choose to depart from either Florida or California, and have a variety of Caribbean stops to choose from. All of the cruise lines that I know of offer only “cruising” of Panama, with no lengthy stops there to really explore. You could always book a stay in Panama, enjoy the area then charter a small cruise leaving from Panama bound to Costa Rica with port calls in between. A good way to have both!
