Now that I’m on a roll about the whole wedding and honeymoon on a cruise subject, what about cruise ship dining? Are guests expected to be at certain meals at certain times? Do you sign up for meals?
I heard from some of my acquaintances that you can eat around the clock on a cruise ship; is that true? I can’t believe they would be like a 24 hour restaurant!!
If I get married on the cruise ship, and spend my honeymoon on the cruise ship, I don’t think I’d want to be tied down to certain meal times. I want to have a flexible schedule.

Dining on a cruise
The great thing about cruise ship dining is that it’s all YOUR CHOICE. You can choose to take meals in your room, go to a buffet style dinner, or to a formal dinner. Many cruise ships have 24 hour dining rooms that are on a casual style dress so you don’t have to dress up if you don’t want to.
You’d be amazed at how many people really do enjoy dressing up and taking part in a formal dining experience!! For the more formal dining experiences, most cruise ships do ask for your preferences before the cruise departs; an early dining time could be between 6pm and 7pm, with the later time of 8 to 9 pm for those who like dining later.
Also, there are always “fast food” type dining choices around the pools, offering hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and such. There is the main dining room for formal dining, and then a “Lido” type dining area that is more casual, but still serviced by menus and waiters.
It’s all about choice, and the cruise lines make sure you have plenty of them!

Latest choice on cruise ships is the Spa menu. Now people watching what they eat can have fun too and not have to worry about spoiling their diet whist on vacation.
There are even spa rooms that are located adjacent to the Spa. Therefore, you do not have to be tempted crossing the buffet line to get to your dinner:)
