Okay, so if I were to plan my wedding and honeymoon on a cruise line (see my previous posts), what should I plan for travel and cruise clothes? I don’t know if nights are cool, being right on the ocean; or is it warm because of locations?
Maybe I should plan to pack clothes for all occasions? Casual, beach wear, semi-casual, and dress? I heard that at some of the dinners, guests are expected to really get dressed up. Is that mandatory, or is it something you choose to do?
And at the ports; what type of clothing should I expect to need when sightseeing?

Age Policy on Travelling alone on Cruise Ships
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to book a cruise.
Guests younger than 21 years must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older and share the same stateroom. This goes for most cruise lines. Carnival require the accompanying adult to be 25 or older.
Note that if the person accompanying the minor is not a parent or legal guardian, a consent letter from the parent/guardian authorizing minor to travel must be presented before minor is allowed on board.
If however the guests are below 21 and married, they are allowed provided they present a marriage certificate. Please check with your cruise line on age and identification requirements before leaving for your cruise. Some ships require minors 16 and above to show an official phot ID.
Packing for a cruise
For packing, you will want to check the itinerary of the cruise line you have chosen. The ports, the weather, the time of year; all of these factors will effect what you pack.
Once you look through the itinerary, choose the activities you and your new spouse will be taking part in, and pack accordingly to those activities. You will definitely want some deck clothes, and evening wear. If you plan to go ashore, pack some comfortable clothes for the climate and for walking.
Beach clothes are a must, you will most likely want to spend time lounging. You can check on line for the destination ports to determine what the average temperatures are for those areas so you can have a better idea of what to pack.
How to dress on a cruise
Always pack a wrap or light jacket as evenings can be cool at sea irrespective of your destination.
Pack none slip shoes to wear on the ship as walking up and down stairs and on deck can be slippery.
Some ships have at least one formal night. Check the ship's brochure. If they do, pack a formal wear too.
Don't forget your sandals and a wrap for your bathing suite!
