Cruises for kids

It’s almost time for school to be out for the year, and my wife and I are trying to plan a summer vacation with the kids. We’d thinking maybe a cruise, since the kids have never been on one. I know Disney cruises are ideal for children, but are there other ideas for a cruise for kids that I can explore? I want to look at all of our options before deciding on one. I think it would be not only fun for the entire family, but educational for the kids also, seeing other cultures, weather, learning about the ocean, etc. Any ideas?

Great cruise options for kids

Disney does offer great vacations for kids, but almost all cruise lines provide great programs to keep kids entertained on cruises. Carnival, for example, has “Camp Carnival”, run by professional counselors that cater to toddlers as young as 2 right on up to teenagers, planning age-appropriate activities. Celebrity X Youth Programs, Club HAL with Holland America, Kids Crew and Teens Crew with Norwegian are just a few other examples. Cruise lines are dedicated to offering the best of services to entire families, and realize the importance of catering to children. I would suggest checking with each major cruise line for their programs, and then match the program to your family’s needs.
