Although some say that the American cruise vacation market is slowing someway, it is not evident in numerous amounts of cruising choices available. Disney will be continuing their trips to Key West, Nassau, Bahamas and their own Castaway Cay Island, and will offer longer cruises to these areas for families seeking one long vacation rather than several shorter ones. The Disney Wonder will transport these passengers during traditional school vacation periods, a popular family cruising time, and the longer cruises will become available for booking in 2010 as well.

As Americans struggle to adjust to the newer financial strains on everyday life, so do industries that continue to strive in delivering affordable and desirable products to their consumers. Disney Cruise Lines, in their plan to strengthen their presence in Europe, shows their intent to remain viable contenders in the cruising market. Offering a variety of cruise options to their American market in more affordable venues such as the popular Caribbean shows their commitment to satisfying the US market as well.
