How do you cope with maintenance and use of electrical equipment and appliances?

American Volt is 110 and European volt is 220. Since most of the ships are not built in America, expect to find only 220 volts in your ship. Some ships have both 110 and 220 volts available for your use. The best thing to do is to invest in an international adapter plug and make sure it will operate on both 110 and 220 volts.

Some staterooms already have hairdryers available for use so inquire before packing your own. Also, some ships may not allow guests to charge their equipment (laptops, camcorders etc) in their rooms. Charging stations are at the front desk. If they allow charging equipment in your room, buy a mini power strip with 4 outlets so you will have enough for all your equipment.
