The Disney Cruise - Romance Welcome

When we hear the word ‘Disney’ what comes to mind? Family, kids, Disney’s Under the Sea (my favorite), Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story, Disney World, etc. So it is natural that when we think of Disney Cruise, we automatically think that is it only for family with kids. But did you know that Romance is on this family ship? You can take the whole family and have a romantic vacation at the same time. Let’s take a tour – for adults only.

During the day whilst the kids are having fun in their age specific activities, mum and dad can pamper themselves at a Mediterranean inspired spa with a wide variety of treatments; or they can visit the fitness center with the latest in exercise equipment, take part in a yoga or aerobic session; or beautify themselves at the world-class salon. If you are planning to receive treatments at the spa, book as soon as you board.

At night after the kids are exhausted and resting in their rooms or the teens decide to hang out in their lounges, take your better half to a romantic dinner at the Palo, an elegant adult only restaurant. Enjoy each other’s company in a candle lit dinner surrounded by elegant ambiance. Palo is a world class restaurant serving gourmet Northern Italian Cuisine. Palo also offers Champaign brunch and on longer cruises and relaxing afternoon tea. Of course an elegant atmosphere calls for elegant attire. Dress code is formal meaning men, shirt or and jacket and women dress or pant suit. No jeans allowed.

The Cadillac Lounge is an intimate lounge serving drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Relax in the lounge’s Classic bucket seat bar and select music at personal listening stations or enjoy live performance at the piano. Take a break at the Cove Café with specialty coffees, cocktails and cognac. Adults can also relax in the Sessions’ bar and lounge with sofas, comfortable chair, and personal listening stations with a variety of CDs or quiet listening to piano music in the evenings. Of course there are other bars and lounges like the sports pub with big screen plasma TVs tuned into ESPN, sports lovers will never miss their favorite team.

Disney’s Castaway Island is a private paradise. Adults are also catered for on shore. You can spend time with the kids on their beach and then escape to Serenity Bay. This is an adult’s only beach where you can just relax or pamper yourself with an open-air cabana massage. Picture yourself swaying under the palm trees, looking out into the clear turquoise waters and the powder white sand all around you; listening to the soft waves of the sea and feeling the ocean breeze gently blowing over your body.
