Culinary Delights Abound on Oasis of the Seas

While cruise ships have always been known for dining pleasures, Royal Caribbean has taken the reputation a step further by expanding even more dining options for their guests on board the Oasis of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean’s newest ship to join the fleet will launch in December, 2009. The Oasis of the Seas includes many innovative features; one of which is its Neighborhood theme. Each neighborhood offers the opportunity for a variety of dining options: 24 distinct dining experiences, to be exact. Established Royal Caribbean’s eateries join new concepts in dining that have been designed to meet cruise guests’ growing expectations.

Among the dining options are an exclusive signature restaurant called 150 Central Park; a trendy and intimate atmosphere that brings a tasting menu and customized wine pairings for discerning guests. A cover charge will apply for this dinner option. Elsewhere on the ship, culinary selections vary from Italian feasts, seafood, Asian foods, health foods, sandwiches, steakhouses, grilles and more will appeal to any tastes.

A standard feature on board the Royal Caribbean fleet is the Opus Dining Room. The Oasis of the Seas is no exception, bringing the traditional dining option to guests with some unique twists and flair. The three story dining room is designed in the French art deco fashion. A new feature with the main dining room is the expanded seating options; My Time Dining, My Family Time Dining join the regular early and late seating. My Time and My Family Time allows guests to either make reservations for a table or simply walk in and be seated.

Of course, guests can still enjoy their meals in the comfort of their own staterooms. Dine in Delights menus are new, and provide delivery access to such feasts as Johnny Rocket hamburgers or Ghiradelli cookies for those who wish to eat in.

Beginning in December, 2009, the Oasis of the Seas will be ready for boarding. The Royal Caribbean ship will also be ready to serve up the most dining options ever offered on a cruise ship.
