Expanded Dining Options for Carnival Cruise Lines

What began as a trial has become a popular option offered to Carnival Cruise Line guests; already implemented on 5 of Carnival’s fleet, another 8 more to join still in 2009, with the remainder of the 9 ships scheduled for 2010. What is it? An expanded dining option called Your Choice Dining with Your Time open seating that was widely embraced in a pilot program during 2008 by a variety of guests and, through feedback, a much requested preference.

Your Time seating basically allows guests to dine anytime between 5:45 pm and 9:30 pm in the dining room, request any table size, choose any waiter, choose their dining companions and generally they are seated immediately. When a small delay is experienced in seating, the guests are given a pager that will alert them when their table is ready.

This newest dining option becomes a third seating option onboard Carnival cruise ships: early seating at 6pm, late seating at 8:15 pm, and now Your Time open seating. All seating options will be confirmed at the time of booking, which is yet another enhancement that Carnival Cruise Lines has put into action. As always, dining options are first come, first serve; however, if the dining choice desired by a guest is not available when booking, their name will be placed on a waiting list with the guest being alerted by an email before sailing of their dining choice.

In addition to the dining room seating options, guests have a number of other dining choices at their disposal. From casual eateries offering a variety of foods to elegant first class restaurants requiring reservations, passengers will never lack from food and dining choices onboard a Carnival Cruise Line vessel.
