Royal Caribbean Announces Plans to Return to Dubai

What an inaugural season for Royal Caribbean’s newest vessel, the Brilliance of the Seas; cruising along the coastline in the United Arab Emirates and visiting such ports as Dubai, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. This debut is about to be outshined, however, as the vessel returns to Dubai and other locations in the 2011 season.

Dubai is one of the hottest new vacation spots, and the Brilliance of the Seas is returning to this hot spot in 2011 for two cruises, 12 nights each; the first departing on March 28th and the second on April 9th. Passengers on board the vessel for both the 2010 and 2011 seasons have the opportunity to explore Dubai and two other emirates more completely through the Arabian Explorer vacation extension. Visiting the incredible countryside which features mountains, sand dunes and quaint villages using 4-wheel drive land vehicles combined with camel racing, dining at a Bedouin camp and shopping the city of Dubai encompasses all that the area has to offer visitors.

Planned additions for 2011 to these already exciting cruises will be shore excursions that offer a new level of adventure to the daring guests, as well as a glimpse into the local culture. Desert excursions, riding Royal Arabian horses, snorkeling turquoise waters and more await the passengers who seek more of an interactive visit to the area.

Additional opportunities to enjoy Dubai via a cruise by taking advantage of repositioning cruises lasting 14 to 16 nights are another choice for travelers. The 14 night cruise leaves from Barcelona and includes stops at two Egyptian ports and one in Jordan after moving through the Suez Canal. Three Egyptian ports plus Muscat and Aqaba will be visited during the 16 night repositioning cruise which leaves Dubai on April 21st.

Can’t wait to visit Dubai? There are still opportunities to sail Brilliance of the Seas during its 2010 inaugural season, with thirteen different itineraries from which to choose beginning in January, 2010. Traveling the Middle East couldn’t have been a better venue for the debut of the Brilliance of the Seas, and its second season very well could top its first.
